A Minnesota Family Resort Tradition Since 1922
We invite you to start your family's own vacation tradition at Arcadia Lodge this year. Located on the shores of Big Turtle Lake, Arcadia Lodge is a Minnesota family resort located in the north-central part of the state, 30 miles north of Grand Rapids, just off the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway. It is completely surrounded by the Chippewa National Forest. Sparkling clear blue waters, the call of the loon, a soaring eagle and the tranquility of a new born fawn are all part of the true northwoods getaway that guests experience here. We have 21 cabins and three motel-style lodge units to choose from. The Main Lodge sits high above Big Turtle Lake and offers what many guests call "The Million Dollar View." The lodge features a very large gift shop, a game room, internet hot spot, a small bar, and a restaurant. During the summer months dinner is served five nights a week in our Eagles' Nest Dining Room restaurant. You'll love dining while viewing the lake from the 80-foot wrap-around screened porch located high above Big Turtle Lake. Reservations are strongly suggested. We have plenty of activities to keep children busy while parents take time to relax. Our beach is sandy and gradual with a diving raft, water trampoline, the Saturn and the Rock anchored out for the older kids and a slide in the shallower water for the younger kids. The playground is right on the beach along with the fire pit for roasting marshmallows (we provide the wood!). Big Turtle Lake is just over 2,000 acres in size and provides tremendous multi-species fishing opportunities. Well known for it's amazing Smallmouth population, Big Turtle Lake offers Bass Fishermen of all calibers a fun and challenging experience. Nothing compares to the excitement of smallmouth bass fishing in June at Arcadia Lodge on Big Turtle Lake. We are excited about the vacation experience we offer guests.
