Welcome to the gem of Minnesota family resorts.  Located on beautiful North Star Lake, we are in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest just 30 miles north of Grand Rapids, Minnesota beside the Edge of the Wilderness National Scenic Byway.  At North Star Lake Resort families can stay, play and relax amidst the beauty and solitude of Minnesota's great Northwoods.  All of our lake cabins are true "Northwoods Cabins," and some have amenities like a fireplace or air conditioning. With our newly remodeled vacation cottages designed with your comfort in mind, few other family resorts in Minnesota can compare.  We also offer wireless internet in the lodge.

Some of Minnesota's finest fishing can be found on 1,000 acre North Star Lake. The lake is clean and clear with a maximum depth of 90 feet. Angling on North Star is a challenging experience with 15 miles of shoreline including many points, secluded bays and underwater reefs.  Resort guests enjoy our world-class muskie fishing, walleye fishing, and northern fishing plus abundant crappie and panfish populations.  Swimmers, skiers, tubers and sun bathers will love our sandy beach, safe swimming area and, of course, our AquaJump and IceBerg!

Let's not forget the kids!  Our resort features a kids' activities program that is not only educational and FUN, but also entertains the troops while allowing mom & dad to take advantage of some well-earned rest and relaxation.  Children love our closely-supervised kids' activities, the kids' fishing contest, and our outdoor activity area featuring a heated swimming pool, wading pool, sun deck & well-equipped playground with playhouse.  You can play volleyball, basketball, shuffle-board or horseshoes then head to our Snack Shop for malts, sundaes, cones, pizza, burgers, fries or cold drinks.
